We did a moving water experiment where we put colored water in a glass on the top of the bar. We cut a long piece of paper towel and let it drop to the bottom glass. Within a day, the water moved from the top glass tot he bottom glass.

We also did the same thing will two glasses on the same level. The water level was the same after 24 hours. The kids are trying to figure this out!! They have come up with all kinds of conclusions like the paper towel is shorter, it will eventually go to the other glass, there isn't food coloring in the glass...so we are on a wait and see for this one!!

We've also switched the colored water glasses to see if the water will move again. They did know that the water level is going down because of evaporation and the fact that there is water in the towel! Super easy and super fun!!
Reid's 1st place picture!!
We are so proud of him!
One day we got a letter saying that his art was chosen to be judged by a Houston Rodeo committee.
We went to the High School and there was art from all over the district.  Each grade level was awarded multiple 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place ribbons. There was also best in show and finalist. Reid's picture won first! His school had 2 chosen to be finalist for best in show.  I think there were about 15 first place ribbons in all of Reid's school...that is out of 1,000 kids! I'm so proud of him.  It is hanging in the school now...I can't wait to get it and frame it!
