We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Reid was so excited about Santa coming to visit. I know he will be sad when we put away all of the decorations. The pictures I posted are out of order, but we started off Christmas here in Houston with Aunt Suzanne, GB and Grandpa. Reid made chocolate chip cookies for Santa, we went to mass Christmas Eve, had dinner, and Matt ended the evening with The Night Before Christmas! Thankfully, the kids slept until 7:30. On Christmas morning they came downstairs and were so excited about the presents. Santa even left a note thanking the boys for the cookies. That was a big hit.
After an exciting morning. We started off for San Antonio to visit the Knockes for Christmas. We didn't even pull out of the driveway when Dad noticed we had a low tire. Of course, there was a nail in it and Matt had to change it before we left. (Last Christmas in SA, we had a flat, too...hmmmm?!?!?!) There is always an adventure. We finally left Houston . We got to see Aunt Cindy, Uncle Dennis, Kristen, and Amanda. What a fun trip! When we arrived in SA, we ate dinner and opened presents AGAIN! Reid made sure we remembered that after we ate, we would open more presents. Quinn got a remote control car and Reid got a baseball batting game!! Wow, how much fun is that. It was too funny...every time Reid opened a present, he said, "No Quinn play with that, he is a baby!" (We are still working on sharing...hee hee.) We even had a chance to go to the SA Children's Museum and Hall of Horns. We also visited with Uncle Artie and Aunt Sandy! The boys each got suitcases and MORE CARS!! We ended the trip with Cousin Amanda trying on wedding dresses. Beautiful! On the way home, Reid wanted to "go back that way to see Aunt Cindy!"
Matt stayed in SA for Paul's bachelor party (Alamo Bowl) and Suzanne and I came back to Houston. We saw Elmo at the Health Museum. The new exhibit was Sesame Street, The Body. Ried thought that maybe Elmo brought presents, too, but after we cleared that up he just asked him, "Where is Mr. Noodle?" We will be sad when Aunt Suzanne leaves. We always have so much fun when she is here!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
