We DO NOT play with dolls...Monkeys? That's cool!

Right before Quinn was born, I bought a boy doll for Reid to help him get ready for the new baby. He didn't want to have anything to do with it. Even when we go down the "girl's" isle at the store, he says, "go the other way!" Well, now he is playing with Monkey. He is a good daddy!

Children's Museum

Just a visit to the Children's Museum with friends from our playgroup, Henry and Julien. They were cracking themselves up with this face painting!
Poor Sarah has to deal with all of these boys...

The shopping was a big hit. Reid enjoyed weighing the food and Quinn wanted to shoplift. I didn't realize what he was doing for a while. When I looked in the stroller there were 8 cans of biscuits!! Yes, we put them all back!

Big Rig Racing!

Quinn eating with a fork

We are hoping that a fork will slow this guy down! One fork full is slower than two fist fulls, right?

Harmonica

The best $3.50 we've spent in a long time was on this harmonica! Reid loved it right off and then learned to put some "soul" into it after we watched a few videos on YouTube. Then Quinn had to do the same. I love they way they get "way down!"

Quinn

Daddy goes back to work.

It was a sad day at the Mickle house. Daddy went back to work. This morning Reid woke up and said, "Mommy, Daddy, come and get me, I'm awake." Matt taught him that if he wakes up he doesn't have to cry, he can just call for us and we'll come and get him. Well, this morning Matt went to get him out of bed and Reid saw him all dressed up for work and said, "Daddy, if I don't cry will you come home from work." Ohmygosh, I just cried. He loves his daddy so much! So sweet!

Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Reid was so excited about Santa coming to visit. I know he will be sad when we put away all of the decorations. The pictures I posted are out of order, but we started off Christmas here in Houston with Aunt Suzanne, GB and Grandpa. Reid made chocolate chip cookies for Santa, we went to mass Christmas Eve, had dinner, and Matt ended the evening with The Night Before Christmas! Thankfully, the kids slept until 7:30. On Christmas morning they came downstairs and were so excited about the presents. Santa even left a note thanking the boys for the cookies. That was a big hit.

After an exciting morning. We started off for San Antonio to visit the Knockes for Christmas. We didn't even pull out of the driveway when Dad noticed we had a low tire. Of course, there was a nail in it and Matt had to change it before we left. (Last Christmas in SA, we had a flat, too...hmmmm?!?!?!) There is always an adventure. We finally left Houston . We got to see Aunt Cindy, Uncle Dennis, Kristen, and Amanda. What a fun trip! When we arrived in SA,  we ate dinner and opened presents AGAIN! Reid made sure we remembered that after we ate, we would open more presents. Quinn got a remote control car and Reid got a baseball batting game!!  Wow, how much fun is that. It was too funny...every time Reid opened a present, he said, "No Quinn play with that, he is a baby!" (We are still working on sharing...hee hee.) We even had a chance to go to the SA Children's Museum and Hall of Horns. We also visited with Uncle Artie and Aunt Sandy! The boys each got suitcases and MORE CARS!! We ended the trip with Cousin Amanda trying on wedding dresses. Beautiful! On the way home, Reid wanted to "go back that way to see Aunt Cindy!"

Matt stayed in SA for Paul's bachelor party (Alamo Bowl) and Suzanne and I came back to Houston. We saw Elmo at the Health Museum. The new exhibit was Sesame Street, The Body. Ried thought that maybe Elmo brought presents, too, but after we cleared that up he just asked him, "Where is Mr. Noodle?" We will be sad when Aunt Suzanne leaves. We always have so much fun when she is here!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had a picnic today. The weather was beautiful, the PB sandwiches were yummy, and I was off key!!
