Reid sits on his potty and draws. I asked him who this was and he said, "Reid, Quinn, and Daddy." When I ask where I was, he said, "There just wasn't enough room for you!"
However, I thinking one of them WAS me and not Daddy...notice the hair! hee hee.

Moving Day!

Today the boys decided to pretend that we were moving. They moved almost all of the toys out of the toy room, and down the hall to our back door. This line of cars and trucks reached to our front door!!!

It is a little too quiet in here.

I was making breakfast for the kids and it all of a sudden got very quiet. I walked upstairs thinking I would find my walls painted in toothpaste or something...but this is what I found instead.

Christmas Party at Reid's school

Reid had a Christmas party at school. Here he is with his teachers, Mrs. Alvarez and Mrs. Rosales! He loves them!

The kids got to wear their PJ's to school for the party! Reid is wearing his Batman PJ's!
He was so proud. Now every time Jingle Bells is played, he says, "This is my part!"

Christmas this year...

I was driving home from a Christmas party Monday night and I got teary eyed thinking what a great year it has been and how lucky my family is to all be together this year for Christmas... specially after the scare with Dad in February and March with his heart surgery.

This past Wednesday Dad had what seemed to be a heart attack. He woke up feeling OK, took a hot shower and his blood pressure dropped. He tried to take his blood pressure and it wouldn't even register. He called his secretary, Cece, to take him to the emergency room. He wasn't extremely panicked because he had his pace maker and defibrillator in. Poor Cece, she was scared to death. He made it there and everyone rushed in on him. His blood pressure was 78/42. They said it was touch and go for a while, and they had to shock him once. He almost didn't make it. They called Mom and told her to get to the hospital as soon as she could.

It turns out that his defibrillator was turned down too low. He has been in the hospital and will stay there until Sunday or Monday. Thank goodness for our friends, Betty and Cece... they really helped take care of Dad and Mom. The wonderful news is that there was no further damage to his heart. We are all so thankful that he is OK. Thanks everyone who has been praying for him. Now you can add Mom to your prayers. Dad comes home on Sunday or Monday and Mom goes in for hip replacement surgery on Monday morning!

Go now and kiss your loved ones!!

Letter to Santa

Today Reid and I sat down and wrote a letter to Santa. Here are a few tips of you are going to write one too!

1. Tell Santa how good you have been... especially to you brother.
2. List all of the things you want for Christmas. This list should be long and include every type of car carrier known (and unknown) to man.
3. Remind Santa that you will make chocolate chip cookies for him and leave him milk to drink.
4. Sign the letter "Love,  your name"
5. Oh, and end the letter with, "I'm going to eat one of those cookies, too. We can share those!"

You Can't Catch Me I'm the Gingerbread Man!!

Today our friend, Connor, came over and we made gingerbread men. The boys loved making the cookies. But you won't believe what happened while we were waiting for them to bake....the gingerbread man ran away!! He left us a note and we ran all over the house looking for him. We finally found another note by the fireplace, and the gingerbread man was hiding on top of the refrigerator!!

It is snowing!!

It snowed here last night! Well, this first picture is more sleet than anything else, but we eventually got real snow!! I think I was more excited about it than anyone else. There was actually a thin blanket of snow on the ground! Reid was worried when he went to bed because I told him that it would probably melt by morning. He said, "How is Santa going to come here without any snow?"
