SAHM's Easter Party

We had our Easter Party today. It was soooo cold  and windy.
It seems like every year, it is cold!

Quinn was upset. He had to stop eating his snack to hunt for Easter Eggs.
I don't think he realized what was inside them!

This looks like the face he made when he was a baby. I love it!! Candy makes us happy!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Matt and I were surprised that we could both play the trumpet after about a million years. We had fun with the kids watching people play all kinds of instruments on Youtube, and we decided to have a Jam session on our own! Quinn on the drum, Matt on trumpet, Reid on harmonica, I was kazoo, tambourine and maraca.

Playing a game....

I thought this was so cute. I was making dinner and I came around the corner. Reid was teaching Quinn how to play this game. They get along so well...as long as Quinn is "following directions"!!

Bluebonnets in Brenham and Ice Cream at Blue Bell

We went to take a tour of Blue Bell Creamery. "They eat all they can and sell the rest!" Quinn and Reid did too!!

The tour was a little long for the kids...especially since we had to wait about 45 minutes to get in. It was pretty busy on Friday. But they loved the ice cream at the end. Next time we will just get the ice cream.
The bluebonnets were out, and this year Quinn didn't cry!! They weren't as tall as they were last year. I'm sure next week they will be in full bloom and you won't see much green!

Yipee!!

Reid got stung by a BEE!

Poor little guy. I was cutting Quinn's hair outside and Reid got stung by a bee on his foot. He started screaming and dragging his leg. I looked over and the bee was still on him. I brushed it away, stomped it, and pulled out the stinger. Poor guy! I called Matt to look up what you do for bee stings. (I have a slight tendency to panic...) I gave him some medicine and put a paste on him made of baking soda and water. It seemed to do the trick. He was so brave! He even went outside again to look at the bee that stung him!

Quinn was a little jealous and started to fake cry. I asked what was wrong and he said that something stung him, too. I asked what it was and he held up a little clump of dried dirt. Poor little  guy!

Strawberry Pickin'

Strawberry time!! We have a few months of ripe strawberries and they are beautiful right now!

Of course, the boys ate as much as they put in their buckets.
Reminds me of the children's book, Blueberries for Sal.

Mmmmm
OH MY GOODNESS...LOOK AT THIS ONE!
