Boating trip!

Our friends, Sandra and Stewart, invited us to go boating this past Sunday and we had so much fun. The kids haven't been on a boat in over a year...what a blast!!

Ready for the adventure!
Gabriel, Julien, and Sandra

Matt pulling Stewart. He was trying to knock him off!
Relaxing in the water after lunch.

This picture of Quinn cracks me up! (You may have to click on this picture to really see it. He is lying on top of Matt and he lifted up his head. He looks like a little kid with huge, long, legs. (you can't even see Matt)

Quinn's Big Boy Room!

Quinn's furniture was coming on Wednesday, and I hadn't figured out how to decorate his room. I knew he wanted cars and trucks. So Quinn and I dropped Reid off at school and headed out to Target. He picked out the sheets and stickers and we had a theme. We went to Walmart to buy paint and hubcaps! Tada...instant boys' room! I still need to work on the curtains. This is an old shower curtain I sewed out of demin a long time ago. I'm going to paint "Quinn's Garage" around the hubcap. Not sure when that will happen!! Anyway, he loves it and goes to bed easily...so far!! I'm not sure he knows he can get out whenever he wants. Reid was a little jealous at first, but I think all is well now!! He just had to figure out that the race cars in his room were faster. Brothers!!

FOUR WHEELERS!!! Wooo Hooo!!

Special time with Grandpa
Lots of love
Making GB laugh

Ah, the good life...looking at tractors and wearing our "cowboy" hats. The boys had no idea that these were Dad's golfing hats. They kept saying yee-haw, ride 'em cowboy!
One of my favorites!
Playing in the sand...
Look at the concentration on Matt's face, I mean Reid's face!

GB & Grandpa got the boys battery operated 4-wheelers as an early birthday present. It was a complete surprise to me. Good thing they told Matt and not me or I would have tried to talk them out of it. However, after seeing how much fun they had on them, I couldn't have said no either! They had so much fun and ran them until the batteries ran out each day! They are staying up at GB & Grandpa's or I wouldn't be able to leave the house again. Hee hee.

Sooo happy!!

So much open space to ride!

I couldn't believe how quickly they figured them out.
They threw it in reverse, went around trees, and parked them in the garage like pros!

Friends...

Just a few pictures from our Monday playgroup...

There are 12 total, but a few were camera shy!!
All boys except 3 girls including Baby Andie.

Blooming!!

Everything in our yard is blooming! My two favorite...this passion vine flower and my yellow bells!

People keep asking what the symbol of the passion flower is.
I remembered a few, but I had to look up the rest ...

The spiraled tendrils - the lash of Christ's scourging
The central flower column - the pillar of the Scourging
The 72 radial filaments - the Crown of Thorns
The top 3 stigma - the 3 Nails
The lower 5 anthers - the 5 wounds
The Style - the Sponge used to moisten Christ's Lips with Vinegar
The leaves (some species) - the head of the Centurion's Spear
The red stains - Christ's Blood Drops
The Round Fruit - The World Christ came to save
The Fragrance - The Spices prepared by the holy Women

Our Yellow Bells

Girl's Hair Bow and Clip Holder!

Ok, so I wanted to make something for my friend Carmen who let me borrow her sewing machine to make the boys' super hero capes. I saw this hair bow and clip holder on line and decided I'd try to make it. You clip the bows to the ribbons hanging. I didn't have any to demonstrate...hee hee.
It turned out so cute, that I think I'll start selling them!
(The next one will have a silk flower instead of the bow.)

Shark Slip and Slide

It is really getting hot here in Texas! Summer is here!! We pulled out the Shark Slip and Slide. (Suzanne and I LOVED these when we were kids!!) The box said 5 yrs. and up. Now I know why! This was so funny!! Believe it or not, I even did it several times. Sure cooled me off and it is still lots of fun! Thank goodness there is no video of that!

My Little Superheros!

My friend, Ashley, and I sewed superhero capes for the boys. Next, we're going to make a pink one for our shero...Bailey! Of course, hers will have a diamond "B" on the back!! It is so fun to see them run around with these capes on.

Even superheros have to take a little break for fun!

Girl's Weekend in Galveston!

Eight moms from my mom's group went to Galveston for the weekend. We stayed at the San Luis and had a great time. Matt and the boys had lots of fun together. I even came home to a vase full of roses and a clean house!! What a great hubby!!

I also got a much needed 6 inches cut off my hair!
