Playing with Chandler and Logan in Conroe

Sorry boys, but this is great material for the future!! They usually don't like pink, but they didn't have a problem with it this day! I love the one of Quinn and Logan on the four-wheeler. I can just imagine him as a teenager!

Finally ... Quinn's Birthday Pictures!

Quinn celebrated his birthday in Conroe. Looking at these pictures makes it seem like years ago. This is before Mom fell and broke her shoulder.

He had such a good time. LOVED the cake as you can tell from the pictures. Reid was a little jealous. He kept saying "I didn't have A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G on my birthday cake." (We won't make that mistake next year!)

My new RING!

"Mommy, we are giving you this ring and you can keep it FOREVER. We are going to marry you...and Daddy too. And you can wear it when you go to a special place that is fancy like Gringos or Taco Cavana!! You can keep it by your bed every night! Daddy, wasn't it so nice of us to think about mommy?"

My sweet boys!!

Happy Birthday Amanda from Little Batmen!

Quinn's Birthday and our anniversary

Matt and I celebrated our 6th anniversary. Our friend, Shelly babysat for us and we went to The Melting Pot. We had such a good time.

The next morning we celebrated Quinn's birthday by going to buy Halloween costumes. I know you are thing it is too early, but out of 8 super hero costumes, we could only find this one in their size!! The love them and they are still on!!

We are going to have a "family birthday" for Quinn at GB & Grandpa's this coming weekend.

Chicken and Rice Poem

Well, I asked my friend, Brie, what I could do with my chicken tonight and she said to make chicken and rice. I thought it was such a good idea...I wrote this poem!

Chicken and Rice

Chicken and Rice.
Playing with kids.
Burned the rice.
Rice down the sink.
Clogged garbage disposal.
Plunger.
Water everywhere.
Sink filled with burned rice & water.
Matt playing golf.
HUGE tub under sink.
Unhooked pipes.
Water everywhere.
Water everywhere.
Thank goodness for HUGE tub under sink.
Wet clothes.
"Get the beach towels, Reid!!"
Clean up.
Water runs through.
Reattach the pipes.
Proud of myself.
Sink clogged again.
Didn't fix the problem.
Open a bottle of wine.
Wait for Matt.

What a GREAT Day!!!

The kids loved school today. Everyone was happy and excited and they both got "treasure". Quinn said, "I didn't nap very long, so the teacher didn't get to take a nap. Sorry, Mrs. Patterson, but you may never "get a nap" this year! Hee hee.

I'm so happy today went well. Reid wanted to go back to school again...right away!
I asked if anyone cried in their classrooms and Quinn said a little girl cried, but he didn't' cry at all!

I got the front and back yard mowed, weeded, and swept. I also trimmed bushes. It is amazing what you can get done when kids are in school for a few hours! Now our weekend is ours to play and have lots of family time!

First Day of School!

Look at these happy boys...ready for school!! Sniff...sniff!
We have our Lightning McQueen Backpacks and lunch boxes!
Lunch is our favorite part of school.
We realized that these shirts are a little long...Reid said, "These shirts cover up my pee-pee." Hopefully they will figure out how to go potty without getting wet! Here is Quinn going into school with Reid's old teacher, Mrs. Alvarez. He LOVES her.
He wouldn't even look at her at open house. He kept hiding his head!
I'm off to mow the lawn and get some work done!

Lots going on...

Yesterday was Mary Alice's 81st birthday.
Today was Dad's 65th birthday.
Tonight Reid and Quinn had "Meet the Teacher Night".
The 4th is Mom and Dad's 44th wedding anniversary!
Thursday I'll be by myself. Two boys in school. Ok...I know, I know...nothing to get upset about.
It is only two days a week...but still...I'll cry....and then get some things done!
Millions of birthdays in September including our 6th anniversary!

More Storage!!

I've been bad about taking pictures because I've been writing a workshop and we've also run out of storage on our computer. We just got an external hard drive, so I'll be back up and running soon!!

Reid & Quinn's Birthday Party at the Water park

I asked the boys if they wanted their own birthday parties or if they wanted to share one. They wanted to share, so we celebrated at the water park.
I have a feeling we are going to do this every year!

We did actually swim at this birthday party...you can't tell from these pictures!
Yeah...Grandpa came!!
Yipee...GB came, too!
Pizza and cupcakes!
The kids frosted and decorated their own cupcakes. Quinn just wanted the icing!
GB helping out..
Yummy!
Now, what you don't see in the pictures is all of the drama that happened at the pool. A few of the kids went into the baby pool and the chlorine levels were too high. The boys were complaining of their pee-pees hurting. The mommies took them to the bathroom and they were all red. Then our friend, Henry, slipped and fell on the playground by the pavilion and his tooth went straight through his lip. He ended up having to get 8 stitches. (Thank goodness the tooth was ok!) So it was a fun party...burned privates and busted lips! Hope we have this much fun next year!

Vacation in San Antonio

We got a little vacation this weekend. We visited lots of family.

We started off at Cindy and Dennis' house.
Amanda came in, too! We had so much fun.
Before we went, I asked Reid and Quinn what they were going to do in San Antonio.
They said, "We are going to sit in Dennis' chair and he is going to throw us
out and throw us onto the sofa!" Quinn said, "Dennis is going to lift us high in the air."
The boys had to clean up after helping Dennis clean out his garden. They each made a dollar!

Birthday present time! Dinosaur Hot Wheel tracks! So cool! Notice where Quinn is. He had the biggest crush on Amanda. Whenever she came around, he would hide his face. He is in love.

Look at all of these muscles!
Spiderman jump!
Look at this Spiderman jump!
Even Quinn started jumping off the diving board. They had so much fun in the water! They jumped for about an hour each day. Needless to say everyone took naps!
On Sunday we went to visit Uncle Artie and Aunt Sandy. We got to see all of the kids! So great to see everyone!

Fire Museum

We went to the Fire Museum yesterday!!

My friend, Esta, came over the other day with her son, Eric, the REAL fire-fighter. The boys were so excited! They proceeded to pull out every toy that had to do with fire-fighters. When Eric was impressed by all of this, the boys thought he'd really be impressed by all of their toys! Within 5 minutes, the toy room was cleared out!

We just had to visit the Fire Museum again!
Reid climbed up but wasn't sure he was ready to slide down!
Here we go!
Quinn doing his tough fire-fighter pose!

On our way to a fire!

Don't you feel safer already?

What a team!
Look who is at the wheel! Notice the seat belt?
Hold on tight!
