Reid's PK4 Graduation!

Last week was Reid's PK-4 Graduation! It was so cute.
I cried.
I can't believe he is going to kinder next year!

They all wore 'sunglasses' as they sang their songs...
He was so excited to be up on stage!

Quinn's class got to sing at the graduation! Next year it will be his turn!

Quinn and Bailey are singing...

Sarah and Quinn...she is the one who kissed Quinn!
Getting his diploma!!

This picture makes me fast forward about 12 years!

After graduation...I love this...he is in the back doing a fist pump!

Quote

I love this quote...

"Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff." - Catherine M. Wallace

Mary Alice....

At Mary Alice's funeral, there was a slide show playing with pictures throughout her life. This was one of the first ones. Matt and I were shocked when we saw this. Quinn looks so much like her!! It is like looking at his twin. We knew they favored, but goodness! We even showed Reid this picture and we said, "Who is this?" and he said, "Quinn!" I love this!!

Easter

I still have some more pictures from Easter to upload, but here is what I have for now...
We had such a nice weekend...had a great time with Mom and Dad and it is always so fun when Suzanne comes in....she just isn't close enough!

Our traditional Easter nests. I'd love to know where this tradition started in our family! I love making them every year just like when we were kids. Couldn't get bluebonnets or red blankets, so roses were the choice flower this year.

And here is Topper!!
Lightsabers...and they make noise like the real ones!!

He has a way with the ladies...

On Thursday, we meet a friend of mine from NY at Galveston Beach. Her parents have a beach house there and every year they invite us down to play for the day. Shirley has two sweet little girls that are about the boys age. We only see them once a year, so I told Reid and Quinn to introduce themselves when they see the girls.

The kids were playing in the sand, but everyone was doing their own thing. I saw Reid and Edie, Shirley's oldest (5), close to each other for a second and then they went their own way. Edie is pretty shy, so I went up to Reid and I said, "You know, it was so nice of them to invite us down here to play with them. Why don't you ask Edie if she would like to build a sand castle with you?"
Reid said, as he patted the sand by him, "I told her, I sure could use some help over here!"

Kung-Fu Fighting

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

Spring Break

It is Spring Break and that means the beginning of strawberry picking time!

I think we picked 7 plus pounds of strawberries!
Smoothies tonight!

We also made it to a park near our house. For whatever reason, we forget about this one. The kids LOVED it! It had lots of bridges and trails for the kids to run on....also a little mud!

It is usually all boys, but this time we were outnumbered!
(The boys pretended like they were the trolls under the bridge.)

Look out for the TROLLS!!!

Reid's New Room

Space...the final frontier!
We are moving rooms around and we've decided that Quinn will move into Reid's old room and Reid will move into the guest room. We've now painted Reid's room with a space theme. Disclaimer... those are wallpaper pieces! I also painted the stars with glow in the dark paint. I love it so much! Seriously, it looks like real starts at night! I kinda want to do that to our ceiling but Matt said, "Ahhh, no."
