Basketball star!

Reid made 4 or 5 baskets in a row from about 6 feet out! Where does he get this talent? Too bad he will never be taller than 5'10"! Hee hee.

Halloween...Cowboy and Tough Guy!

Halloween was an adventure. The kids (or Matt and I) got lots of candy. The night was a success, Quinn kept his cowboy hat on... he doesn't wear hats...ever! And Reid loved his tattoos! It took us about an hour and a half to visit six houses!

Oil Ranch

We took the kids to the Oil Ranch. It had a hay ride, petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin patch, train, tractors, and you could even milk a cow. Unfortunately, I lost the pictures of the pumpkin patch and cow milking, but what a fun day!

Artist

Today we went to a children's art studio. It was so neat. There were easels with paint, dry erase markers, crayons, play dough...all kinds of fun things. I would have loved this place as a kid! Like with most things, Reid was very focused and had a great time!We now have four beautiful pieces of art for our walls.

Church Picnic

Going to our church picnic made me a little sad. I miss the picnics we had back in Yoakum. We were going from booth to booth and I was thinking that we hardly knew anyone. It was a very nice day and I guess that just means that we need to become more involved!

There were games, rides, moonwalks, and a fire truck and ambulance. However, the favorite was when a clown gave the boys balloons. Of course, we lost a few and got some more. Reid is still talking about the yellow balloon that got away!

Carving Pumpkins!

Today we carved pumpkins. What fun and it actually felt like fall! I was surprised that the pumpkin carving kit was really safe...it looks like a knife but it isn't. I was thinking that Reid would just enjoy touching the gooey stuff inside the pumpkin, but he loved carving it! Such concentration on his face. Our friends, Carrie, Brandon, Geetu and Reiah came over too.

The boys seem to be getting along better since Quinn started walking. While we were going upstairs Reid said, "Come on Quinn, let's go. Reid fast as a tiger and Quinn fast as a turtle!"

We tried out one of those new Deceptively Delicious recipes where you put pureed veggies in everything...well, it backfired on me and I ended up with meatloaf all over my floor and them laughing hysterically! Food fight!

Golf anyone?

Just a day at the beach...

We went to the beach today. As you can see from the two videos, the kids had a great time. The weather was perfect...if you call overcast perfect. It wasn't too hot. Reid spent his time throwing sticks and seaweed into the water, and Quinn kept crawling out into the surf! Matt spent all of his time picking up Quinn and putting him back on the beach just so he could crawl back into the water. He would get splashed in the face and would keep on going.

We didn't plan very well. The kids swam in their clothes and changed into swim trunks for the ride home!

Quinn can WALK!

Quinn can WALK!! Actually, we think he has been able to walk for about a month now, but just wasn't confident enough. Today he went from taking 3-5 steps to walking all through the house!! Big day!! Hmmm will things be easier or harder now?

Park

We went to the park today. Reid can climb the rock wall and spider web all by himself!

Got lasagna?

Quinn ate lasagna for the first time. I was starting to worry that he wasn't eating anything except baby food. I've been lazy in that department. I guess I don't need to worry about that anymore. He ate his plate and Reid's leftovers, too! Apparently, if you want to look tan, just rub this stuff all over yourself!

Zoo - The Carousel Ride!!

We went to the zoo again this weekend. Baby elephant? giraffe? petting zoo? No, the boys love the carousel ride! This was Quinn's first and I think he looked up at the lights the entire time. Reid held on all by himself and laughed the whole time.

Zoo

This morning we ventured out to the zoo with sippy cups, diapers to match, and a gallon bag of Cheerios! The kids had a great time. Quinn loved the playground hippo, Reid thought it might bite him. Of course, the train ride at the end is always their favorite!
