Suzanne came in for Christmas, but it certainly wasn't a traditional Christmas. Mom was in Park Manor rehab facility. Dad was feeling too bad to come down to our house to celebrate. So, Suzanne and I went to stay with dad just before Christmas. We came back to our house on Christmas Eve so we could keep somewhat of a Christmas celebration with the kids. We went to Christmas mass that evening. Christmas morning was fun but also very sad without mom and dad. After the opening of presents, we headed back up to mom and dad's to be with them. We stopped off at park manor to visit with mom and needed to eat Christmas lunch. Of course everything was closed and Matt searched everywhere for a place to eat. He even went into the hospital near by to see if their cafe was open. It wasn't. So, he drove and found a McDonalds. We ate McDonalds at Park Plaza with mom. As you can guess, the kids didn't mind. We went on to stay at their house that night. Dad was in really bad shape, so Suzanne and I stayed and Matt and kids went back home. This Christmas will be remembered but not fondly. All during Christmas, we reminisced about Christmases past. While Suzanne was at dad's, Matt and I spent a few days looking for assisted and independent living places for mom and dad

Dad liked the fidget spinner from Quinn and a flash light from Reid.
